• open to all players from Kindergarten through grade 12
• new players welcome
• you will play 4 - 6 games
• chess tournament rules apply
• chess clocks used in upper grades (generally grade 5/6 and up)
• game time is 30 minutes per player
• tournament check-in and fee payment starts at 10:00 a.m.
• tournament starts at 10:30 (ends around 3:00 p.m.)
• lunch break around 12:30 - lunch is not provided
• $10 (plus a $5 SSCA yearly membership)
• ribbons will be awarded 
• students will be grouped according to skill level
