The Saskatchewan Scholastic Chess Association (SSCA) is pleased to invite you to the SK Provincial Chess Championship, which will take place on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at La Cité universitaire francophone, University of Regina.

⏳ Schedule:
- 09:30 AM – Check-in / Onsite Registration & Fee Payment
- 10:30 AM – Round 1
- 11:30 AM – Round 2
- 12:30 PM – Lunch Break (SSCA Annual Meeting for Parents)
- 01:30 PM – Round 3
- 02:30 PM – Round 4
- 03:30 PM – Round 5
- 04:30 PM – Round 6 (Some grades may have 6 or more rounds)
Eligibility & Qualification
To participate in the Provincial Championship, players must have competed in one of the regional tournaments.
The top player in each grade at Provincials will be invited to Team Saskatchewan to represent the province at the Canadian Chess Challenge (CCC) in Ottawa, ON, from May 17 to 19, 2025.
Format & Time Control
- Round-robin format, grouped by grade
- 5 to 7 rounds, depending on the number of players in each section
- Time control: 25 minutes per player + 5-second delay per move
Registration & Fees
- Online registration: $20
- Onsite registration: $25 (payable at the door)
