Saskatoon Scholastic Chess Tournament

You are warmly welcomed to Saskatoon Scholastic Chess Tournament, sponsored by Saskatchewan Scholastic Chess Association.  This tournament is open to all Saskatchewan players from Kindergarten through grade 12, and New Players are welcome to participate.

Schedule:

09:45am – Check in and fee payment at front door

10:30am – Games start

Time Control:

G/30: Each Player has 30 minutes to make all his/her moves.

Sections:

·        Number of sections will depend on the number of participants

·        Sections will be defined by consideration both of grades and CMA ratings.

·        5 rounds minimum for each section.

Tournament Details:

·        Chess tournament rules apply (touch move)

·        Chess clocks used in upper grades (generally grade 5/6 and up)

Registration Fee: (payable at the door)

o   On-line registration is $15 + $5 SSCA membership

o   Onsite Registration is $20 + $5 SSCA membership

    (For those who have paid the SSCA Membership fee in other cities of Saskatchewan, you don't need to pay this $5)
