In order qulify the players for Saskachewan Provincial Chess Competition (Regina / April.2, 2023) and Canadian Youth Chess Championship (Calgary / July 19-22, 2023), SSCA provide 3 qulifiers to all the players, who should choose at least one of them to be qualified:
March. 05th, 2023 - OTB Saskatoon (Already done Result)
March. 26th, 2023 - OTB Regina (Registration is still open Regina Scholastic Chess Regional 2023)
March. 25th, 2023 - Online @ lichess.org (Registration is open now for those who won't be able to play OTB)
Eligibility: Open to all Saskatchewan players from Kindergarten through Grade 12. New players are warmly welcomed.
Time Control: 25+5 (25 minutes with 5 second increment for each player)
Format: SWISS 5 Rounds
Rules:
1. Chess tournament rules apply
2. Fair play rules apply (Please read this part in details).
We would like to ensure the highest standards of ethics and fair play during online chess games
3. Restroom Policy:
1) Players can not use restroom when it’s their turn to move
2) No restroom allowed after 20min after the game starts
Equipments requirement:
1. Computer only, no chess board allowed.
2. Angled Camera: Using a second device (Cell phone, computer, and etc) to login to ZOOM, turn on video which must show player and the computer screen fully
Registration Fee: $15
Actions Required:
1. Make sure you have a CFC ID
2. Make sure you have a Lichess account. If you don't, please go to lichess.org to register an user account.
3. Fill up the tournament registration form: Tournament Registration Link
4. E-transfer the registration fee ($15) to SSCA treasurer's email: adepadua@sasktel.net

5. Join the teams in Lichess: Saskatchewan Scholastic Chess Association
Once we receive your Registration Form & Payment, we will accept your request to the teams.
